Does "Still Finding My Name" =Temashengu Litchfield-Tshabalala ?
"Still Finding My Name" is a pseudonym that I came up late 2020
to express myself and give my words without being 'defined' as a person.
The very meaning of the pseudoym is that my voice is continuously being developed and recovered
in every piece that I write, it has less to do with my own identity and more to do with me as a writer.
There isn't much of a difference between Tema and SFMN other than that
as a writer I can give vocal cords to what I couldn't say on an ordinary day.
Even for other people who will come to join the community
the name I've taken on is applicable because we are all in one way or another trying to find our names.
I'm a storyteller, a writer, a photographer, I mess around with film.
It's about creating, it's about moving.
I think everything is creation,
or rather because I like to take things and move them from nothing to something
my perception of how important something I do is
centred around whether or not there's creation in it.
You want to know who Temashengu is, she's a creator.
She makes things out of pieces. That's me.
